We take pride in the quality of our olive oil. However, because olive oil is a natural, agricultural product, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Natural Variations: Variations in color, flavor profile, cloudiness, and aroma are natural and dependent on harvest conditions, olive varietals, and climate. Such variations do not constitute a product defect.

  • Storage & Degradation: Olive oil is perishable and sensitive to light, heat, and oxygen. Relish & Root Company is not liable for product degradation or spoilage resulting from improper storage by the customer after delivery.

  • Accuracy of Information: We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.

3. FDA & Health Disclaimers

While olive oil is widely recognized for its dietary benefits, we make no medical claims regarding our products.

  • Not Medical Advice: Any information provided on this website regarding the health benefits of olive oil is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for advice from a healthcare professional.

  • Allergens: While our primary product is olive oil, you are responsible for reviewing all ingredient labels.

4. Compliance with Food Regulations

We strictly adhere to all applicable State of New Jersey and federal FDA regulations regarding the handling, bottling, and labeling of olive oil. By purchasing our products, you agree not to resell, relabel, or alter our products in any way that violates the FDA’s standard of identity for olive oil or state agricultural laws.

5. Pricing and Modifications to the Service

  • We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

  • We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

6. Shipping, Returns, and Consumable Goods

Because olive oil is a consumable food product, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns on food items due to health, safety, and tampering regulations.

  • If your product arrives damaged or defective, you must contact us at contact@relishroot.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographic proof of the damage for a replacement or store credit.
  • Risk of loss and title for items purchased from us pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law, Relish & Root Company, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers, or licensors shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product.
